In Cádiz, the Health Department is allocating approximately €2,143,254 for renovations this summer, of which €1,305,536 is earmarked for hospitals, and €837,718 designated for primary care centers. The renovations include noteworthy projects such as €425,000 for upgrades at the Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar, impacting departments such as Vascular Surgery and Pediatrics. Other hospitals, including the Hospital de San Carlos and the Puerto Real University Hospital, are also receiving substantial investments to modernize surgical facilities and medical wards. Furthermore, several health centers across the area will see repairs and enhancements in radiology and physiotherapy, reflecting a comprehensive strategy to boost service efficiency and patient care.

Over the past six months, waiting lists for consultations have decreased by 17.5%, reducing the wait for functional tests in Digestive health from 93 days to just 26 days. Surgical waiting lists have also improved, with 1,150 fewer patients awaiting procedures and wait times in Traumatology decreasing significantly.
The Health authorities in Cáceres emphasize the importance of public cooperation, urging patients to cancel appointments they cannot attend, as this helps enhance service delivery.
