Santa Cruz de Tenerife is witnessing a remarkable impact from its current consumption voucher campaign, which has seen a sales rate of 93.80% since its commencement on June 16. A total of 24,834 out of 26,476 vouchers have been sold, generating approximately 495,822 euros in economic activity. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez expressed his appreciation for the 286 businesses participating, noting that 91.67% of them have successfully redeemed at least one voucher, amplifying efforts to bolster local commerce.
The campaign, part of the broader Santa Cruz 2023-2028 Commerce Plan, is scheduled to run until November 16. The response has varied across different districts, with Suroeste leading redemption rates at 92.90%. Ofra-Costa Sur follows closely behind with 89.08%, while Centro-Ifara and Salud-La Salle reflect strong engagements with redemption rates of 82.50% and 82.45%, respectively. Notably, 41 businesses have reached or approached the 4,000 euros redemption cap, and 17 have exceeded the 6,000 euros mark.
Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Sociedad de Desarrollo, highlighted the community's participation and enthusiasm, as many establishments have encouraged additional businesses to join the initiative.
