In a notable economic initiative, Santa Cruz de Tenerife has seen impressive results from its Bonos Consumo program, with 93.80% of the vouchers sold since launching on June 16, generating an economic impact of approximately €495,822. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez praised the program for its support of local commerce, stating that 286 businesses have participated, with 91.67% successfully redeeming at least one voucher.

As of the latest update, 24,834 out of 26,476 vouchers have been purchased, highlighting strong consumer engagement. The Suroeste district reported the highest redemption rate at 92.90%, followed closely by Ofra-Costa Sur at 89.08%. This initiative is part of the broader Santa Cruz 2023-2028 Commerce Plan aimed at reinforcing local business activity.

Notably, 41 establishments are nearing the €4,000 redemption limit, while 17 businesses in La Rosa have already reached the €6,000 cap. Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Sociedad de Desarrollo, emphasized the initiative's effectiveness in steering local spending towards businesses. The program remains open for consumer purchases until November 16, enhancing its reach and support for local enterprises. Participants can access updates on redeeming capabilities and business involvement through the program's dedicated website.
