Unzu criticized political discourse that exploits fear and exaggerates crime, advocating instead for distinguishing real security issues from perceived insecurity. She highlighted that increased reported crime often reflects greater institutional trust and noted a decline in certain crimes like drug trafficking and burglaries. The PSN-PSOE promotes an integrated security model combining police work with social policies such as investments in education, mental health, employment, and youth leisure to prevent crime effectively.

Coordination among the Foral Police, local forces, and state security bodies is deemed essential, along with specialized training and clear protocols. Unzu underscored the danger of stirring social anxiety through biased media and fear-mongering, which ultimately undermines public safety efforts. The party rejects associating nationality with criminality, focusing instead on repeat offenders to preserve social cohesion.
