The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) has reported more than 180 aggressive incidents against its offices since November 2023, attributing the surge in violence to a hostile political environment fostered by rival parties, the Popular Party (PP) and Vox. On average, PSOE has faced vandalism approximately every three and a half days, with the latest incident involving offensive graffiti at its office in Vera, Almería. This particular location has seen vandalism on three separate occasions, with attackers using terms like 'corrupts,' 'pimps,' 'cocaine addicts,' and 'traitors' to deface the building. In light of these attacks, PSOE has called on PP and its leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to unequivocally condemn the violence, stressing that failure to do so could be seen as endorsing such behavior. The PSOE has firmly stated that political violence undermines democracy and must never be tolerated or ignored.
