The second edition of the regional ‘Impulso Mujer + 50’ program is set to launch in September 2025, aiming to empower women over 50 to develop their own business projects. This initiative is backed by the Regional Ministry of Social Policy, Families and Equality and the Organization of Businesswomen and Professionals (OMEP). Last year's edition successfully assisted around twenty women in realizing their entrepreneurial goals through business support and training.
Regional Minister Conchita Ruiz highlighted the program’s role in promoting female leadership and equal participation in the business sector. "We are committed to ensuring that women can access leadership positions without fear, regardless of age," Ruiz stated. The initiative stems from the broader 'Mujer Lidera' program, which aims to bolster women's professional aspirations.
A strategic action plan discussed in a recent meeting with OMEP focuses on strengthening partnerships with public administrations to create a supportive network for businesswomen. This plan aims to enhance entrepreneurial skills through training programs and organize networking sessions to share success stories, thus reinforcing the commitment to female empowerment in the region.
