In 2025, regional governments in Spain have stepped up financial support to local sports clubs and activities, aiming to foster sports participation and healthy lifestyles across the country. The Xunta de Galicia allocated over €62,000 in aid for sports equipment to 14 clubs in the Ferrolterra region. Notably, the Kang club in Fene received around €4,400 for new tatamis and protective gear. Martina Aneiros, territorial delegate, highlighted the program's role in enhancing competitiveness and promoting structured physical activity. This year's budget for Galician sports aid nearly reached €1.5 million, segmented into €1,162,000 for clubs and societies and €278,000 for federations. Since 2019, Galicia has allocated a total of €12 million for sports equipment subsidies, with a historic peak of €4.6 million in 2022.

Meanwhile, in Andalusia, the Diputación de Sevilla granted €12,713.20 to the Municipal Sports Board of Lebrija to cover transportation expenses supporting sports activities in 2024. This subsidy backs the participation of over 3,000 schoolchildren from the province, including 278 from Lebrija, competing across various disciplines such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, and more. Lebrija also hosted nine competition sessions across multiple sports.

These initiatives underpin the commitment of Spanish regional governments to strengthen local sports infrastructure and engagement through targeted financial aid programs.
