Netflix Unveils Exciting Spanish Content Slate for 2026 Including Luis Tosar and Raphael Biopic

Netflix has announced an impressive lineup of Spanish-language content for 2026, highlighting its continued growth with over 323 million subscriptions worldwide—an 8% increase from last year. The platform recently revealed at an event in Madrid several upcoming projects featuring prominent Spanish talent and culturally resonant stories.

Among the new series is the miniseries "Lobo," starring Luis Tosar as a 19th-century serial killer who claimed to be a werewolf. Tosar also stars in "Salvador," a drama exploring a father's struggle with his daughter's involvement in a neo-Nazi group. Additional notable series include "El crimen de Pazos," a true crime story set in Galicia, and "Aquel," a series based on the life of famed Spanish singer Raphael, who is personally overseeing the production.

Fans can also look forward to the second season of "Berlín," premiering on May 15, which features a heist involving Leonardo da Vinci's iconic painting. On the film front, Netflix plans ambitious stories such as "El niño," centered on a family affected by a gas explosion in the 1980s, and "53 domingos," adapted from a play about siblings unraveling their father’s mysterious behavior.

Documentaries on tennis star Rafa Nadal and the assassination of politician Miguel Ángel Blanco are also in development, demonstrating Netflix's commitment to diverse Spanish narratives.
